When Kenji Jasper was 9, he picked up a pencil and some lined paper and wrote his very first short story. After a few spins around the sun he became the author of five books including the bestselling novel, Dark. His writings have appeared on National Public Radio, in several anthologies and magazines like Newsweek, The Village Voice, Essence, VIBE, and Ebony.  His latest book, The Morning After, was published in the summer of 2013.

The Other Place  is a multimedia and entertainment entity with interests in film, publishing, and culinary exploration. A collective of writers, designers, filmmakers, and marketing gurus, The Other Place convenes on a project-to-project basis to create both works-for-hire and original content for license and distribution. We apply our diverse gifts to create work for both clients and like-minded consumers in search of the innovation and introspective.
