Missed her by 20 minutes at the Congressional Black Caucus in the 7th grade. Her performance in The Mighty Quinn made me want to marry and island girl. I retweeted her tweet about that Stevie Wonder Superbowl and she tweeted me back. I told her that clocks stop when she moves in the world. And I was serious. Maybe not in this life, but I’ll have her in the next 😉
The Other Place
A native of Washington, DC, Kenji Jasper is the author of five books including the bestselling Dark, the acclaimed House on Childress Street and the crime novella, Snow.
